Jamaica celebrated 50 years of independence on August 6, 2012. In keeping with the global trend throughout the Jamaican Diaspora, Jamaica’s fiftieth anniversary in Serbia was celebrated in fine style at Dom Omladine in Belgrade Serbia at the first ‘One Love’ cultural display programme. A cocktail party was in order and the Jamaican Ambassador to Germany, Honourable Joy Wheeler was in attendance. The world premiere of ‘Making of a Legend’ a movie of the life and works of Bob Marley as seen through the eyes of Esther Anderson was made to commemorate the event.
