The Consulate celebrated Jamaica 57th Independence Day during 15th Rock Village Festival on Saturday, August10th in Banatski Sokolac.

This year, appart from having a stand where we were promoting Blue Mountain coffee, Jamaican rum and other Jamaican items, we took part in a new activity which occured during the day - Promotion of National Cuisines.

Together with representatives from Hungaria, Romania, Slovakia and Serbia, we organized tasting of Jerk Chicken which was prepared at the scene.

Very quickly, visitors were waiting in line to taste famous Jamaican national dish.

Jamaican students as well as their friends from World in Serbia program took part in celebration and joined us.
